Vrindavan Dairy - Farm Stay

Vrindavan Dairy Farm at Chikkatirupathi is pleased to invite those who are highly motivated to do some real service to Gomathas (cows). If you’re serious about it, please join us. We will together serve Gomathas.

We want people who are very serious about serving cows. It will require some physical effort. It's not a place for family trip.

Farm and Cows

Vrindavan Dairy has many partner farms. One of the farms at Chikkatirupathi is owned by Vrindavan Dairy and rears only Desi cows (Indian breed cows). It’s about 1.25 acres farm with good infrastructure for cows and for people who work in the farm.

Currently we have 4 cows and a calf. Two Gir, Two Kangrej, and a Gir calf.

You can do multiple activities to take care of the cows:

  • Cutting grass for cow
  • Transporting grass from farm to cow shed
  • Chopping grass for feeding
  • Clean cow shed - cleaning cow dung and washing the shed where cows are tied
  • Bathing cows
  • Feeding grass to cows
  • Evening puja

Other than these services, you can also help keep the farm clean and tidy.

We have a very simple room that can accommodate up to 3 people. It has two partitions. One for cooking and one for living/sleeping. We have a toilet and bathroom with abundant water.

We provide blankets and pillows. There is a cot in which one person can sleep. Other two (or may be three) can sleep on the floor. If you want you can bring in extra blankets as it gets colder in the night.

You need to make your food. We have cooking gas and enough utensils for you to cook. We have basic groceries in the room. You need to bring rice, vegetables and other grocery items you may like for cooking. You can also cook outside with wooden stove. We provide clay pots to cook outside.

We will provide 500ml of Gir cow milk in the morning and evening.

Note: Our dairy farm is strictly vegetarian. Don't bring in or cook non-veg food in the farm.

Bring sweater or jacket as it’s bit cold in the night. During day time normal clothing is enough.

No Plastic

We discourage use of plastic in the farm. If you can’t avoid, please remember to take them back when you leave the farm.

There is abosolutely no fee to stay in our farm. It will be our honor to have you.
